Thank you all for the opportunity to tell my story.
I am a veteran and retired local government employee. I dedicated eight years, serving with distinction, in the US Navy. I served my local area for 21 years and was grateful to all the people I was able to help.
After retiring, and not being retirement age, I was able to secure another job and continue working. Covid came and I lost my job. Having no income, I ended up with several bills that I continued to pay from my retirement fund. I secured another job and then an extremely unfortunate event happened. I ended up having a heart attack requiring a triple bypass. Unable to work, I ended up depleting my retirement account to pay the ever increasing bills.
I am not asking for a significant amount, just enough to get another start. Thank you so much for letting me share.
