I’m sure most of you know my sweet son Waylon, well due to birth complications his head was formed incorrect and continues to grow misshaped. We are a young military family, already struggling to make ends meet while trying to survive the baby phase, across the country from our family. Our insurance unfortunately does not cover his DocBand Helmet, as they consider it “cosmetic”. It truly is something he needs. His condition is called plagiocephaly, the helmet will help his head grow in places needed while maintaining growth in other places. His condition is causing facial pulling as well. His treatment is around 8-10 weeks long. We are hoping to get his treatment started and taken care of asap as it affects him turning his head to one side more, and causes overall discomfort.
