The wall is being built!
After fighting with the city since Dec 2022, they ruled that without video footage to support that the sanitation trucks knocked down the walls from inside the alley, they would not pay for it to be repaired. (yep, definitely have cameras up now!)
We've met with several contractors and have decided on a great one. The thing is, and this was in the ballpark of all the estimates, it will cost $10,500 to fix. My husband and I are paying for it, as there is literally no other option. (insurance doesn't cover it because it's not on our property)
This wall separates our neighborhood from the busy street of Preston and a hole in it (or two) makes our neighborhood more vulnerable to many things.
I'm starting this go fund me in case you would like to pitch in. All donations go straight to the wall!
