UPDATE::** 11/16/20
I wanted to provide an update – a month ago our family had a tragic accident where Oakley, the family dog, had her leg broken in multiple places. Oakley is a loving, active, and sweet girl. She always wants to be right by your side! She is a huge part of our family. Thank you to everyone who has helped us get her the care she needed! Oakley, has gone through surgery, had daily followed up visits, which then turned into weekly visits. It has not been an easy road but today we got some good news! The surgery has gone well! They were able to take off one side of the metal external fixator on her leg. She is still healing and recovering. She has several weeks yet to go. We are all in good spirits but wanted to provide an update! New Xray at week 4 after surgery!
When it comes to pets, I am a firm believer that dogs are just better than people. I am so fortunate to have grown up in a household with dogs. Besides the cute cuddly factor that dogs have, they’re also the most accepting creatures I’ve ever seen.
Oakley is a young Walker coon hound that had her leg injured when she was out in the pasture with her family early evening on October 15th 2020. Oakley was brought to the emergency Vet to get check out, she stayed over night to get monitored as she had air & fluid in her chest cavity due to the trauma. She has several fractures in her Tibia. Oakley is needing to have surgery on her right leg. Surgery is not cheap and there will also be follow up visits that will be needing. We are asking for your help!
We love her so much. If you can help, please do. If you can't, say a prayer for her with us. Please share and spread the word. Thank you for all the support!
