My name is Mahmoud Hamad, I am 36 years old, a husband, and a father of two wonderful children: Ibrahim (4 years old) and Alma (1.5 years old), who was born amid the horrors of war.
I started my life working hard in computer repair, and I managed to build a small home for my family. But harsh circumstances destroyed everything I had worked for. Now, I live with my children and my elderly parents in a temporary tent, with no income, no shelter, and no protection from the cold and illness.
Every morning, I wake up before my children—not because I have work, but to find an answer to the question in their eyes: “What about tomorrow?”

If staying in Gaza becomes unsafe, our last option is to move with our family to a place where we can live with dignity and safety.
