Hello friends and family of my mom Robin. My name is Chrissy and I’m the youngest daughter of Robin. On June 3rd my mom was released from the hospital from her third blood clot. Lots of testing was done and about a month ago she had a Petscan done which is a specialized scan to test for cancer. They spotted a massive mass on her liver covering about 80% of it with cancer. The had believed her cervical cancer came back and had went metastatic to her liver which came back untrue. This past Tuesday 8/12 she went in for liver biopsy which results showed it came from possible breast cancer. Yesterday 8/18 she was scheduled for a stat mammogram and they pulled us aside and determined it was in fact breast cancer. Today 8/19 we met with a breast cancer oncologist and they determined she has stage 4 metastatic triple O negative breast cancer that has since gone to her liver. We were given an option of possibly starting chemo but will only extend her life by 2 months at most. She wants to fight, fight to stay for her grandchildren.

As many of you know my dad has also been on hospice since May. So it’s been extremely difficult to deal with as well as this recent diagnosis. At this time we are asking for many many prayers. We were also asking to raise money for a cold cap. A cold cap is something that she can get to hopefully keep some of her hair during chemo which cost in the range of 1600$ up to $3200. We’re asking for money to go towards treatments, medical bills, food, gas to get to and from weekly chemo treatments and in the near future towards her funeral and burial expenses. My parents have consistently showed up for the people they love, now it’s our time to show up for them.

Thank you for your time and prayers.

Unfortunately my sweet momma passed away on Thursday at 7:47am. Her fight is over and unfortunately cancer won. All monies raised is going towards the funeral. The funeral cost is $10,700. We aren’t even close to that amount. Please share or donate.

Update:

unfortunately we got news we didn’t want to hear. Mom has cholangiocarcinoma. If you Google it, it’ll give a better understanding than what I can give you. So oncology explained what it was to us and  explained she has 86% for cholangiocarcinoma, 6% gallbladder cancer 14% pancreatic cancer. In short terms she’s suffering from cholangiocarcinoma, liver cancer and yesterday she had blood work that confirmed she has really bad pancreatic cancer. Normal people CA19-9 protein for pancreatic  values is usually between 37-39, moms is 83,859 so unfortunately her pancreatic cancer has unleashed.

In short terms mom has 2 months, more than likely less, but hopefully longer.

The monies raised will now help pay for the most beautiful funeral that my mom deserves.

My parents are the kindest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. They’ve “adopted” “kids” and treated them like their own. They don’t deserve this. Dad’s been on hospice since April and now mom will be turned over to hospice tomorrow.

if this is your first time reading this my mom worked for the Parkesburg Walmart for 24 years and my dad is a life time member of keystone valley fire company for over 60 years.

thank you for reading. Continued prayers are appreciated and if you have the means please donate or share

Update!!

We have the first $630 collected for the first round of cold cap therapy. We need more donations to go towards as many treatments that she needs to try and save her hair. At the end of all of this it’s going to cost close to $3200. I can post the form to show proof once I get home. I was out most of the day with mom today trying to get her out of the house to keep the spirits alive. We had lunch at my job Red Robin in Lancaster and we went to rosss. She thoroughly enjoyed herself. She’s determined to get her Christmas shopping done before she hits chemo because once she starts it’ll take everything out of her. Please share and donate if you can. I know times are tough right now but even just a dollar goes a long way.

thank you for your time and consideration.

Correction it wasn’t lunch it was her spleen. The spleen took the biggest hit.
