Last night, my grandpa’s entire world burned to the ground.
A fire took his home, his belongings, and every precious memory he had held onto for decades. In just minutes, he lost everything.
He not only lost his house, but every photograph of my grandmother, every picture of his children and grandchildren, and all the irreplaceable memories he kept tucked away—little pieces of a life built with love, family, and faith. One of his dogs didn’t make it out of the fire, adding even more pain to an already unimaginable loss.
My grandpa is now completely homeless, with nothing but the clothes he walked out in.
This man is one of the most giving souls you could ever meet. An Army veteran, a hardworking ex–tree faller, and a faithful believer in the Good Lord. He has spent his entire life helping others, never asking for anything in return. If you know him, you know the size of his heart. He is kind, humble, and steady—a truly good man.
And now he’s the one who needs us.
We are raising funds to help him start over from absolutely nothing—to secure housing, replace basic necessities, and begin rebuilding a life that was taken from him in a matter of moments. No amount is too small. Every share, every donation, every prayer means more to us than we can express.
If you feel led to help, please do.
Our family is devastated, but we are clinging to hope and to the kindness of others.
Thank you for taking the time to read his story, and thank you for standing with him during the hardest moment of his life.
