After years of battling a number of health issues my wife was very recently diagnosed with metastatic cancer. She has a mass in one lung, a spot on her liver and the most painful is the cancer along her spine. She has four broken and compressed vertebrae. She is highly susceptible to paralysis with the wrong types of motion, especially lifting herself up or bending over. I have located a special bed that moves from a bed position to a seated chair with minimal back strain. Also I am her sole caregiver since her insurance does not offer in home aids. I have to work or go places for shopping, church, etc. very quickly she needs a PureWick and supplies. Also learned she cannot safely enter our car due to the way the seats are made so transport has become a huge issue.
I engage in creative lay ministry using gifting God bestowed and often cross paths with people suffering great loss in need of her and encouragement.
