Hello everyone,
My name is John or sound_kage as a lot of you know me on TikTok. The reason I am asking for this money is to provide my fiancé Carla, My 1 year old Maria, and myself a means of transportation.
backstory:
Last year around May 10th I was offered a new job as a salesman with a pest control company. In the pitch to hire me they left out the fact that I was only going to be payed commission and listed all the ways I was going to be rich. Unfortunately my young arrogant self made the wise decision to take this job without doing much research. At the time we lived in south Georgia and our destination for the job was in Dallas Texas. Me, my fiancé, and my daughter who was only 4 months old left town and our family's for this opportunity. Things started bad when our car broke down in Alabama only 3 and half hours from home. Maybe I should've taken that as a sign from god to go home but unfortunately I didn't. We rented a hotel for the night and eventually my family offered to take us the rest of the way to Texas and my new boss said he could car pull me.
There we were back on the way to new horizons before we knew it. My family dropped us off at our "payed for apartment" which I must admit was the nicest play I had ever lived. However because of us showing up late my first day was the following day so I needed to go to sleep shortly after arriving. The next morning my boss told me to car pull with some coworkers who were new as well. I thought to myself this is strange, why are 10 different people starting on one day. It turned out none of the other employees that I met knew why and none of them knew about the commission only pay. In fact 5 of them swore they read something about salary pay in the contract but when all of us pulled up the contract none of us found that. perhaps they were all mistaken but it seems strange that half the people (The only people that read the contract) all said they thought they saw some thing about salary pay.
After being forced to work in the harsh rain, going door-to-door and countless times being threatened by the occupants, and in one month only making a total of 2 sales I was done. It turned out it was only a seasonal job and my boss wasn't really my boss he was the person that would get a bonus if I stayed there for the whole season. Incentive for him to convince me to stay over and over again no matter how bad I wanted to leave. I was referred the same lies over and over again (You'll be rich, it's the American dream, you've already sold 2 if you can do that you can sell 50)
There was actually another team there and all of them were doing phenomenal. The reason for this being said their boss and the person that signed them up and not lied to them or miss let them. He had also been training them over zoom and discord for the past two months. They already knew what to say what to do by the time someone answer the door. Meanwhile my team was literally given a script three hours before we would be dropped off with practically no time to practice. I would like to say maybe I just wasn't cut out for me but at the same time all 10 people from my team left including myself. It's also well worth mentioning that nobody on the other team left and they all did great. The final straw for me was when my boss told me hey even if you don't sell anymore I need to stick it out for the season so I get paid a $2000 bonus. Showing his true intentions were to make money out of all of us and not caring to give us proper training to make money ourselves.
After having my family bail me out of the situation and coming home to my family having to move in with my grandparents. I felt so ashamed of myself. I started having thoughts of why did I make such a dumb decision, this all could've been avoided, I'd actually be in a really nice place right now if I hadn't made this decision. My fiancé tries to take part of the blame but deep down I know it has nothing to do with her because it was my decision to take the job. Ever since this is happened I've had a really hard time mentally and so has my fiancé. At some point we finally got a car. Unfortunately after buying it from someone on Facebook marketplace it turned out that the title was fraudulent. We tried going through the process of getting a new title for the vehicle but kept running into a dead end. Eventually we were pulled over in the car and the car was towed for not having a tag.
Ever since then we have been struggling with that and trying to find a way to make this all work and get back up on our feet. I understand that everything that has occurred is my fault and I don't expect anybody to donate to this cause if they don't want to. It's your money don't feel bad for me and don't let that be the reason you done it. However if you're willing to to lift a helping hand I would greatly appreciate it. Anything helps and I appreciate all of you that took the time to read this
