Hi! My name is Lindsay. I’m a 38-year-old mother to two amazing children-aged 7 and 5, and a wife to my husband of 16 years. In 2020, I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer known as multiple myeloma. I have been fortunate enough to outlive expectations, as this form of cancer has no cure.
However, I’ve recently found out the cancer is continuing to spread, and I’m no longer responding to treatments. I had an opportunity to travel to Canada to receive a potentially life changing treatment, but due to the long wait time to get a passport, it’s unlikely I will live long enough to make it to Canada. There is a team of doctors in San Francisco that have agreed to help me, but I will be required to stay in California on my own dime. We do not have the ability to pay for the accommodations to stay there, and this is why we have restarted this fundraiser. I have enough money for the plane ticket, but it is extremely expensive to stay close to the hospital where I will need to be daily.
