Humbly Asking for Support to Help My Daughter Smile Again
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind-hearted Supporters,
I never imagined I'd be writing a letter like this—but as a parent, you do everything you can to take care of your children, and sometimes that means asking for help.
My daughter has inherited the same dental health challenges I’ve faced throughout my life. Despite her strength and resilience, her teeth have caused her pain and affected her confidence in ways no child should have to endure. She now needs extensive dental work, and the cost is beyond what I can manage right now—up to $3,000 for the care she needs.
I do okay financially, but to be honest, I’m struggling. I’ve recently had to take on the care of our newly diagnosed diabetic dog, which has added unexpected expenses. Between trying to stay afloat and make sure everyone under my roof is healthy and cared for, I’m stretched incredibly thin.
To help raise funds, I’m also selling my 2020 Honda Fury. While that will hopefully contribute a good portion, the sale hasn’t moved fast enough—and my daughter needs her treatment sooner than later. My own mother once stepped up in a moment like this for me, and I hope to do the same for my daughter. I want her to have the smile she deserves—a smile that reflects the light and joy she brings to this world.
So as much as it humbles and pains me to ask, I am reaching out to ask for your support. Any amount you’re able to give—whether it's $5, $50 or simply sharing this request—would mean the world to us. Every bit brings us closer to giving her the care she needs.
Thank you for reading, for considering, and most of all, for your kindness.
With gratitude,
Jeff Hemp
