After moving to California seven months ago, our family car broke down in late October, causing my partner and I to lose three jobs collectively. He was able to transition to remote work quickly, but hasn’t received his first paycheck yet. I am having a harder time replacing my ad sales job and weekend bartending job that was on the other side of the bay. Our corporate landlords are beginning the eviction process after three weeks of an overdue partial payment.
We recognize that there are people with far greater need that us, but our hands are completely tied at the moment with this huge and sudden gap of income, and no family or friends nearby.
We are hopeful that if a few people can help us out a little bit, it will help us reach our deadline of the day before Thanksgiving. Thanks to any of you for sharing or donating. We would appreciate it more than you know.
