My story is rooted in something most people never see when they look at me: a heart condition that has shaped every part of who I am. I was born with Bicuspid Aortic Valve Disease, and at twenty years old, I underwent dual-valve-replacement open-heart surgery. What could have been the most frightening chapter of my life instead became the beginning of my purpose.
After recovering, I realized how many young people silently face medical fear, emotional isolation, or uncertainty about their bodies. That realization inspired me to create Let’s Have a Heart to Heart—my initiative centered on empowering youth to choose kindness, advocate for their health, and lead lives of courage. Since then, I’ve spoken in classrooms, worked with children’s hospitals, raised funds for pediatric cardiovascular care, and used every opportunity—online and in person—to remind young people that their story matters.
Today, whether I’m serving on campus, supporting families through RebelTHON, or sharing my journey on a stage, my goal is simple: to turn my scars into someone else’s strength. My story reminds me daily that life is fragile, time is precious, and Kids Can’t Wait for the support they deserve.
This is more than a platform. It’s my heartbeat, my purpose, and the reason I’m standing here—ready to serve, uplift, and continue creating a ripple effect of change
