My name is Lina Donado, I am currently 29 years old, and today I want to share a little about my story and the reason why I am reaching out for support.
I am the mother of a beautiful 2-year-old daughter. Since she was 4 months old, it has been just the two of us. Through every challenge, God and life have always been good to us, and thankfully we have never gone without the essentials. I have always worked hard to maintain jobs that allow me to spend quality time with my daughter while also providing us with financial stability.
I have also been fortunate to receive emotional support from kind people who, although not family, have stood by me when I needed help. Every day I strive to create a better life for my daughter and myself. However, sometimes life places us in situations beyond our control.
Recently, I became the victim of a scam while trying to purchase a vehicle for us. Living in an area where transportation is limited, having a car was not a luxury but a necessity. Trusting the wrong person cost me money that took a great deal of effort and sacrifice to save. Every dollar matters deeply to me, and facing this situation has been emotionally and financially overwhelming.
I am continuing to work and doing everything I can to move forward, but at the same time I still have debts to pay and household expenses to cover on my own. I recently had to reduce my work hours because I can no longer afford daycare for my daughter, which has made things even more difficult.
I am not sharing this story to exaggerate my circumstances or invent tragedies. My reality is simply that I am a mother doing her best, trying to recover from a difficult situation while still being present for my child.
The amount I need may not seem overwhelming to some, but for me, at this moment, it is significant. Any contribution, no matter how small, would be received with sincere gratitude and would help me tremendously in getting back on my feet.
