As a pre-teen and teenager, I learned very early that it was just me. I didn’t have the support, protection, or encouragement I desperately needed. I felt invisible in a world that rarely made space for Black girls to be seen, safe, and celebrated.
Instead of letting that pain define me, I turned it into purpose. Out of those lonely years, the ElemenTTwinS were born — two Black teen superheroes, Ella and Mint. They embody everything I once needed: courage, sisterhood, protection, and hope. Together, they fuse into Ether, a reminder that when we unite, our power is limitless.
The ElemenTTwinS aren’t just characters. They are my way of giving back to every girl who has ever felt unseen or unsupported. They represent healing, imagination, and the belief that young Black girls deserve heroes who look like them and affirm their worth.
Now, I’m building the ElemenTTwinS into books, videos, and a mobile app filled with daily affirmations, games, and coding tools — because representation and empowerment should be in the palm of every girl’s hand.
But I can’t do this alone. Just as I once longed for support, I’m reaching out today to ask for yours. Your donation will help bring the ElemenTTwinS to life in schools, apps, and creative projects that inspire the next generation of girls to believe in themselves, their voices, and their power.
Together, we can make sure no girl feels alone the way I once did. Together, we can let them know they are powerful, magical, and limitless.
