Now serving as the church's youngest Head Deacon, he makes a commitment:

With discipline, preparation, and discretion, he trains a small group of deacons to protect their congregation—not because they want violence, but because they believe protecting innocent lives is a responsibility.
But when the past comes back to the very doors he once feared, he is forced to confront the deepest wounds of his life.
