My name is Megan Doane, and I have recently turned 18. My father left me for another family when I was 16 after being emotionally and physically abused for years, and my mother has recently kicked me out and refuses to get me any of my belongings.
I have found a place to stay, a place I can call home, but as an unemployed adult looking for work everyday, it's incredibly hard to buy the personal things I need as well as items I need for my place (dishes, cleaners, etc.)
I'm in the process of getting my belongings back from my mom, but I wouldn't doubt if she destroys most of my personal items. She is withholding all of my personal documents; my W2s, Birth certificate, and any mail i've gotten in the past year and a half.
Im not asking for much, I have some jobs lined up, but it's incredibly difficult to find a job because i'm still in high school. If you could help out with even a dollar, it means everything to me. I've always been a person who doesn't accept help, but with this reality check I've received, I am finally letting people in and asking for help.
