I was diagnosed with Epithelioid Angiosarcoma May of this year. I started my chemo treatments it went ok. The oncologist stopped my treatments before any news about my surgery. After a month or so I had a visit with the oncologist. When they heard I haven't had surgery I did one more cycle of chemo. I was finally scheduled for surgery last month November 2021. On my way to get a mandatory COVID test before surgery they called me to let me know my insurance wasn't going through, something about letter of approval. The hospital is located 3 hour's away, I was 30 minutes away when I got the phone call of the cancellation. COVID test was on a Friday and the surgery was on the following Monday. I Contacted the oncologist to get back on treatments and they informed me that they no longer accept the insurance I'm on. I called to change it, so now I'm waiting to hear back from my new primary doctor and oncologist. The pain is pretty bad, the cold weather makes it worse. My cancer is located in my left leg pelvic area, proximal. Taking the bus, walking to the bus stop and walking to class getting tougher. I'm not getting any prescription pain med's I have to buy what I can for now, which are definitely not strong enough. I use the My chart app to request refills but have not gotten a refill or response in at least 2 weeks. Now that I had to change my insurance I don't expect to hear from them. I am attending UEI college HVAC technician. I'm only paying $50.00 a month for tuition for now, however it will increase after graduation. I'm needing help with tuition, transportation and over the counter pain med's. I am stage 2 boarder line stage 3 as far as I understand. For now I'm just playing the waiting game and hoping my cancer doesn't spread to a stage 4.
