Hi, my name is Marie. I recently lost my vision a little over a year ago. I am permanently in a wheelchair and I can not walk. I have to have my legs straight out on the wheelchair. So I need a special van that I can drive up into. This is my livelihood, it is the only way I can get out of the house and do the things I need to do. I have a lot of medical appointments and also I need to do the grocery shopping for my house as I live alone. I do as much as I can. For the church, I have been getting donations front local businesses for years to keep the doors open at my church. We have a big auction every October that I do all of the fundraising for to help the community. I was stricken with my disease at age 2 leaving me not able to walk. I cannot ride public transportation because how my legs are, straight out. I get a very low income coming in, hard for me to keep up with my daily expenses, let alone a vehicle. I tried to get a handicapped van, but it costs so much over 30,000 my income is not cover a van. I do not like asking anyone for anything because my whole life I have done everything myself. I try to do the most community services I can, but without a vehicle I cannot continue doing those services. That is my life. I would be so upset staying in the house all the time without a van to be able to go places like doctors appointments stores and more. If you can find it in your heart to help me I would appreciate it so much. God be with you all. Love Marie.
