Urgent Help For Siku's Medical Journey

Siku Update after removal of left kidney

I just wanted to give a brief update on Siku's situation. We were able to raise a chunk of donations which will help with the extensive bills. We are so thankful for everyone who donated and that have kept us in your thoughts.

The surgery went really well! No complications during surgery and so far nothing on the recovery side. The surgeon said that he had the largest artery he's ever seen going to the kidney and tumor (and he's worked on other large exotics like tigers). I suspected he wouldn't tolerate being at the clinic overnight but I was staying 5 minutes away just incase. The clinic was great at allowing me to be involved with giving his oral meds to reduce stress. But they decided for his safety that it was best for him to come home that night.

I've been home with him the past 2 days and so far everything has been really good. Aside from some hair melting farts 🤢. Please keep us in your thoughts still as this was just the first hurdle into his recovery and continued cancer treatment.
