My name is Mahmuda Khan and I am fundraising for a fellow muslim brother that is in dire need of immediate medical treatment due to an accident he suffered on 09/14/2023. He was working for his part-time job and rushing to go for Maghrib prayer when a 3,000 lb steel shutter fell on his foot, injuring it severely. He is resisting proper medical treatment because Medi-Cal is not providing sufficient funds to cover his medical costs. Without proper care, his wounds are at risk of an infection that could spread to the rest of his leg and significantly worsen his condition and even lead to amputation - May Allah protect him. Furthermore, he is unable to work indefinitely until his situation improves.
Labu immigrated to Los Angeles from Bangladesh alone only a few months ago with hopes of working hard to provide for his family back home. He is alone in the US without friends and family that can support him financially or emotionally during this difficult time. He qualifies for Zakat - Anything you could contribute towards his medical expenses would go a long way for him, and the reward on your scales in the hereafter will be far greater than whatever you contribute now, inshaAllah.
Ibn `Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah (sa) said:
“A Muslim is a brother of (another) Muslim, he neither wrongs him nor does hand him over to one who does him wrong. If anyone fulfils his brother’s needs, Allah will fulfil his needs; if one relieves a Muslim of his troubles, Allah will relieve his troubles on the Day of Resurrection…” [Bukhari and Muslim].
