My name is Stacey Constante and I’m helping to raise money for Rea Beaubien. She lived in an endless construction zone as her home. For a good number of years there were dirt floors, plastic covered insulation, and there is still painted particle board as siding. There’s a leaking roof and dilapidated “siding”. Wood burning fires were the only thing that kept the home warm through the nights. It took 18 years to make it liveable, but she didn’t and still doesn’t have enough money to finish building.
In 2002, Rea, moved to Crestone, Colorado with her former husband. They were known in the spiritual community of Crestone for offering earth based ceremonies and community gatherings.Her father offered to assist in creating a suitable family home, but he suddenly passed away at a young age. Devastated after the loss of her beloved father, she focused on being a mother to her newly born daughter, Uma and later caring for her son, Soma. Along the way, she had gone through a divorce. In addition, her former husband was not able to help financially, thus signed the unfinished home over to her.
She was not able to live at her home as it reminded her of the memories held of her once family. In addition, she wanted her kids to live in a suitable home. She left and rented a place in Boulder with both kids.
Last summer she spent some time at her home in Crestone deciding what to do next. She stated,
“I felt a new sense of gratitude for the silence, clean air, sparkling waters, and all the love that was poured into this magical creation we’ve called home. I clearly heard the call of the home herself saying she just needs some loving attention. I’ve done what I could over the years. Urgent things I haven’t been able to manage on my own. It has been a community home, and I want to build upon it”. 
Bottom line, the home is in dire need of repairs in order to keep it from deteriorating. Rea has been a single parent with little resources to keep up with the demands of this house. In addition, she has provided the community with earth based ceremonies, helping so many who have shown up for many years. She needs more support to finish her home and I believe we can help her as she has done so with us.
