My name is Desmond, and I’m reaching out for help for my three kids—Skyrose (4), King (3), and Athalaiya (1)—and their mom, my fiancée. Last year, everything changed when I lost my job after getting injured. Since then, I’ve been doing everything I can to find work, but it’s been a struggle. Right now, I stay home with our kids every day while my fiancée works hard to finish school for real estate and build a better future for our family. We don’t believe in daycare so it’s not really an option plus we still have to pay for it even if we did decide to do that. We recently moved into a more affordable apartment to try to stay afloat, but even with that change, it’s still difficult to keep up with bills, groceries, and the everyday needs of raising three young children. With their birthdays coming up in June, July, and August, it’s been weighing on me knowing I might not be able to give them the simple joys they deserve. Our car is another challenge—it barely fits all five of us with three car seats, and without air conditioning, even short trips can be exhausting and uncomfortable, especially for the kids. Right now, our biggest concern is preparing for the months ahead. As school approaches, we need help with basic things like clothes, school supplies, and daily essentials. More than anything, I just want to give my kids a sense of stability, comfort, and normalcy during a time that’s been anything but easy. Asking for help isn’t something that comes easy to me, but I’m doing it for them. Every donation, every share, and even taking the time to read our story means more than I can put into words. Your kindness and support will help us get through this difficult season and give our family a chance to move forward. I truly believe better days are ahead—we just need a little help getting there. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for caring about my family.
(This will be the money to last us until next year when my kids mom starts making money and I can hopefully get a job unless I have to watch one of my kids still)
