Kayla was recently involved in a boating accident on Memorial Day. She was thrown from an intertube while being pulled by a jet ski and into a boat resulting in life long injuries. She fractured her sacrum, pelvis on both sides, (12 fractures), along with major bruising and internal bleeding. She ended up having emergency surgery, blood transfusions and spent a week in the hospital. She is currently home and on mandatory bed rest for 3-4 months with a very long journey ahead to recovery. Learning how to walk again will be one of the hardest hurdles. Especially being a mom to 4 kids.
This next chapter of their lives will be new and hard. Over the past few days, many of you have asked what you could do to help, so we decided to create a go fund me to help offset the costs of medical bills, medical equipment, procedures, two more surgeries, loss wages from work, travel for treatments, meals, home care, and other immediate needs the family may need during this incredibly difficult time.
