Recently I have been trying to protect my son from circumstances that only be described as fear.
Needing an attorney, needing help paying off bills in order to be able to get us into a home, along with trying to get on my feet since he was born, has and continues to be a fear of seemingly endless series of struggles.
I have changed my life completely around and strive for being better for him and myself, in order to be the dad he can look up to and deserves.
I have been working for 6 years now, starting this journey solely with a backpack, using company showers to pull myself up and out. I am now in a position where I would like more for our lives and to be able to give more to our lives and provide more than I have ever have so far.
With a current custody case trying to get my son out of a dangerous situation, bills that I try to keep as bare as possible, and all the paperwork and expenses involved with most aspects of these situations, I have no way to save for an attorney and I have been struggling to manage it by myself.
It has been 5 long years of looking down a tunnel with the light seeming further away then when it all started. While I manage to float and keep up with everything, I recognize that humbling myself to ask for help would be more beneficial than maintaining the pride that has kept me from it so far.
