name is "Chance The Great" and I am 2024 graduate of Hollywood Senior High, Performing Arts Magnet Program. In addition to my maintaining a 3.4 GPA, I was enrolled in several AP theatre classes and participated in multiple school performances. I have also studied amongst various theater arts programs, internships, apprenticeships and mentorships in efforts to perfect my craft and develop my natural talent.
As a graduating senior, I applied for approximately 26 Performing Arts Universities within the U.S. and I was accepted to majority of the schools that I applied to, including my top two choices: Howard University and PACE University.
Although a difficult decision, I ultimately decided to attend PACE University, with only a 2% acceptance rate, to study for my BFA in Acting.
As a first generation college student, it is an honor to be accepted to such an esteemed institution. Although being awarded nearly half of my tuition in merit scholarships, financial aid, and private scholarships, my family and I are still significantly short $50,000 for my first year of expenses, which in addition to tuition includes on campus housing and meal plan fees. I am humbly requesting monetary support from our village of friends, family, and members of the community who believe in my dreams and have witnessed my dedication and commitment to my craft.
