My brother’s birthday is right around the corner, and this year I want to give him something truly meaningful. Because of his limited mobility, spending time outdoors has been difficult. After talking with his caregiver, we realized that a wheelchair ramp would be one of the most impactful gifts we could give him. It would not only allow him to enjoy fresh air more often, but also give us the chance to take him out more and create new memories together.
The cost of a ramp ranges between $107–$150, depending on the size, and there are also other important needs like fitted sheets for his new hospital bed and hygiene essentials. While I am covering as much as I can myself, I would be deeply grateful for any support from friends, family, and our community to help make his birthday extra special this year.
