Hi friends, family, and kind supporters,
My name is Michaela Childs, and I’m honored to be competing as Miss Nutmeg on my journey to Miss Connecticut competition. While this experience is about growth, service, and scholarship, it’s also about something much bigger than me.
Through my work in mental health advocacy and community outreach, I’ve seen firsthand how deeply our physical and emotional health are connected, especially for women. That’s why I’m proud to support the collaboration between American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women initiative and the Miss America's Scholarship Foundation. Together, they’re not just funding life-saving heart research. They’re investing in women’s futures through education.
Every donation made here does two powerful things at once:
❤️ It helps fund critical research to fight heart disease—the leading cause of death in women.
🎓 It contributes to scholarships that empower women to pursue their education and their purpose.
As someone who is passionate about storytelling, advocacy, and creating impact through both media and service, this mission is incredibly personal to me. I’m working toward a future where women are heard, supported, educated, and healthy enough to live out everything they’re meant to do.
If you’re able to give, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If not, sharing this means just as much. You are part of this impact simply by being here.
With so much gratitude,
Michaela Childs, Miss Nutmeg
