LGBTQ refugees in Nairobi live in life-threatening discrimination every day. Forbidden from working and abandoned by the agencies supposed to take care of them, these refugees struggle even to survive. They are arrested regularly. They are violently attacked by a homophobic community, including law enforcement.
This group of people desperately needs your support. We are working with two refugee-operated organizations (Refugee Empowerment Spectrum Community and Kashfoods Caterers) to distribute Christmas baskets to 50 needy refugee households. The baskets include groceries and toiletries for one month. Each basket is $35.
