Hi everyone, my name is Joshua. For nearly a decade, my life has been defined by a single, relentless battle.
Since 2015, I have been fighting a cancerous tumor in my sinus cavity. Over the last nine years, I have undergone seven major surgeries to remove the growth. Each time, I fought back, and for five beautiful years, I finally tasted freedom in remission. I thought I had won.
Two months ago, that peace was shattered. The cancer has returned.
I am now back in the trenches, having just completed my first round of chemotherapy. Because of the specialized nature of this tumor, my care is split between two major institutions: Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville and the University of Kentucky in Lexington. The constant travel between these cities for tests, scans, and treatments has become a second job—one that is physically exhausting and financially draining.
Between the rising costs of fuel, hotel stays near the hospitals, life-saving medications, and the medical bills themselves, the burden has become too heavy to carry alone.
I am asking for your help to keep this fight going. Your donations will directly fund my travel to Nashville and Lexington, my medications, and the accommodations I need to stay close to my doctors during treatment.
Nine years is a long time to fight, but I’m not done yet. If you can’t donate, please share my story.
Thank you for helping me.
