Support Bradley Hornsby’s Road to Recovery

On December 26th around 2:30 PM, Bradley Hornsby was involved in a devastating motorcycle accident. While we are not exactly sure what caused the crash, we do know that Bradley lost control of his motorcycle, went off the road, and was thrown into a wooden sign.

Due to the severity of his injuries, Bradley was life-flighted to Grady Hospital. At the time of arrival, doctors identified multiple critical injuries, including an exposed broken leg and arm, as well as a ruptured spleen. He was rushed into emergency surgery where his spleen was removed, a pin was placed in his leg to stabilize it, and his arm was splinted.

After surgery, Sandra (his mom) and Jaden (his fiancée) were able to see him in recovery, where they were informed of additional injuries: two fractures in his back, broken ribs, and a fractured hip. At that time, they were unaware that Bradley’s sternum was broken completely in half.

Before being transferred to the ICU, doctors discovered that Bradley was losing a dangerous amount of blood internally, causing his blood pressure to drop severely. A CT scan revealed that an artery in his leg was the source of the bleeding. He underwent a second emergency surgery that same night to cauterize the artery and was then moved to the ICU.

Doctors later discovered that his sternum was broken in half, with his lung pushing up between the broken bone. Due to the seriousness of this injury, they postponed further work on his leg and arm and proceeded with surgery on his sternum. A plate was placed in his chest, and thankfully, the surgery went well. Since he remained stable, doctors then moved forward with repairing his leg, placing pins and screws during an extensive surgery that lasted over 8 hours before returning him to the ICU.

At this time, Bradley’s arm has not yet been repaired. Doctors are also closely monitoring his heart, as lab work has shown some concerns. He has undergone an echocardiogram and is on continuous EKG monitoring, and we are currently awaiting further information from the cardiologist.

Bradley remains sedated and on a ventilator. He has significant swelling throughout his body and still faces additional surgeries and treatments for his arm, back, and hip once his condition improves.

Despite everything, we are holding onto hope. On a positive note, his leg and sternum have been repaired, and when he first arrived, he required three blood pressure medications—he is now off all three.

Bradley has a long and challenging road ahead, including extensive medical care, recovery time, and rehabilitation. This GoFundMe has been created to help ease the financial burden on Bradley and his family during this incredibly difficult time, including medical expenses, travel, and time away from work.

Most importantly, we ask for your prayers. Please pray for healing, strength, and peace for Bradley and our family. We believe in the power of prayer, and we trust that our God is bigger than this battle.

Any donation, share, or prayer means more than words can express. Thank you for your love, support, and kindness during this time. ❤️
