My name is Michael Spencer and I am the older brother of Mathew Spencer, the man in question that has been missing since the 6th of August, 2025. I wanted to come and update to what this Spot Funding is being used for. It has now been 5 months. We've kept this going because of the fact that at some point we're praying Matthew is found, one way or another. So yes, while a private investigator is still in question and something we may be looking into, this is now for that and possibly bringing him home, or unfortunately arrangements if needed. I wanted to give an update, realistically so people knew what exactly was going on. We haven't heard much from the detectives, so we're not sure when or where this will take place. Thank you all for the continued support or my family and Mathew. It is appreciated and I myself can't thank you all enough. I haven't been able to be much in the online part because of work but I'm still working with my family in the background and we're trying our best to bring Mathew home.
We're coming to you all as a family looking for one of the pieces to our puzzle that can't be found. If you have been following along you know we've done everything we possible can, but if you haven't I'll give you the run down. Matthew Spencer went missing the morning of the 7th of August, the last know location, Cloudcroft NM. We've tried to call every single police station along the routes he could have taken and put out BOLOS and put him in the missing persons nation wide account that just now happened and today makes 2 weeks that it has taken them to do that. We're trying to hire a private investigator and if we can't get enough money for that we'll try and see what we can do ourselves. We have done some calculations and the P.I would be anywhere from $2,500 to $5,000. The detective that was put on the case in Nevada where he was leaving from dropped the ball and closed the case after the first day because he thinks that Matthew wasn't "in danger" and let me assure you he is in some kind of danger he would never be gone this long without contacting someone in the family. We just really want to bring him home so if you can help it would be greatly appreciated. We'll have this SpotMe and then our cousin will be selling things on her page and every penny will be going towards finding Matthew as well.
