Hello, my name is Nicole Slusher, I am 26 years old currently living in Silver Creek, Washington but grew up in Winlock, Washington. I've been riding horses since I could walk. I started showing cutting horses in 2005 and succeeded very well by winning multiple buckles. I got burnt out in cutting in 2010 and started playing around in barrel racing and roping. In 2011, I got a new horse "Faith", we grew together competing in barrel racing and junior rodeo's. 2012 was our year, we won our first saddle together and qualified for the junior rodeo finals. At that point I felt Faith earned retirement in which she will live with me forever. At that point I started looking for something a little younger. In 2018 I stumbled upon a 2007 sorrel mare; her name is Pepto Long Stockings AKA "Pippy". We have done a little bit of everything together from cutting to barrel racing. In the Cutting pen we have won a total of 5 buckles. In 2019 we competed in the ERGA Winter Series winning our first buckle in barrel racing. I went on to hit some local barrel races, running consistent 16.1's. In 2022 I competed in the Rocky Top Fall Series tying for 3RD & 4TH in the 4D, winning a saddle pad among other things. In early December I decided we were going to make a run in 2023 at the All In Barrel Race located in Las Vegas. December 18th, 2023, I thought all my dreams had shattered. Pippy coliced ending up in OSU for 3 days. When I brought her home, I was unsure of what the next six months would look like let alone the next year. Since then, she has made a full recovery and we can now focus in attending the planned local barrel race's and the All In this year. With that being said Pippy and I are looking for sponsors to help us get to the All In Barrel Race located in Las Vegas this December. The cost is approximately $1,395 just to enter the race that does not include her food, travel, or any other expenses along the way. Any sponsorship would be very much appreciated to achieve my goal. The sponsorship can be any amount you would like or even helping with diesel along the way. Pippy will be wearing a blanket with all our sponsors on it.
