Hello my name is Diamond Cooks I am 25 years old and the mother of 2 beautiful baby girls 5 & 2 , first I want to say thank you for taking the time out to read my story.. second I want to address that I am not begging anyone for their hard earning money but I’m asking that God put it on your heart to help a positive cause..
A little bit about me and what my dreams are.
I went to Longview High School, where I did extremely well despite my surroundings after graduating with many awards afterwards I attended Alabama State University as a business major and minor in dance and theatre.. during my sophomore year I did become pregnant with my 1st daughter and made the sacrifice to come back to my home state in Texas to raise her.. during those times I soon became a single parent and was desperately looking for a way out of poverty so I decided to work at a gentleman club where I entertained for tips... it wasn’t something I enjoyed doing but it was easy for me to work at night with a new baby.. 2 years later during Covid I became pregnant with my 2nd baby girl and I wasn’t able to go back to school at the moment as planned but it is still the goal... during the time of me working in the club I was able to save money and invested in a small business that is now Liscence's... working in the clubs with so many women I was able to come up with products that was effective for personal issues the girls was having behind close doors... from vaginal discomfort, dry skin & plus more.. fast forward now I started a dance team for young girls specifically for minorities so they could have a outlet to express themselves like I did.. unfortunately times are extremely hard and being that fact that it is just me and my kids it’s hard to maintain and save money to accomplish my big goals such as, pay for promotion, marketing, products, travel fees, food, insurance plus more... so far I have reach many goals from saving money from working my day part time job such as housekeeping, working as housekeeper, cashier, caregiver plus more.. now I am back working nights as a entertainer so I can be with my kids. Working in night clubs isn’t something I enjoy doing but it’s something that has always allowed me to work and make good tips to support and my girls.. now I am in a situation where I’m trying to apply for small business grants and look for sponsors to help me grow my businesses so I would never have to work in clubs anymore and also be a light to help other girls find a way out of the clubs as well!
