Hey All! As many of you know I've gone through some challenging obstacles during my time in Guatemala as I was a victim to a horrendous crime of domestic violence which almost took my life. Many have reached out and asked me how they can help, and at the time I was too traumatized to accept help or know what help I needed. I did the best I could to stand up for myself through the corrupt system, and stand for all women who have navigated similar experiences. I've spent the last year doing my best to heal from the trauma, and have since I have become a certified advocate for other victims. These obstacles took a lot of strength to overcome, I'm very proud of myself for all that I have done, and how far I have come since. But, it completely exhausted me. The whole ordeal has also challenged me financially and I am calling in community support to bring not only me home, but also bring home my sweet Pancho who I adopted during my time here. Unfortunately since the pandemic the regulations and requirements have changed for adopting pets from abroad and we will have a longer more complicated journey to return. I would greatly appreciate the support to bring home Pancho as I can't bear to leave him behind. We will have to travel through Mexico to make this happen. Fill out lots of paperwork. Visit lots of vets. Jump lots of hoops. I've been quoted thousands of dollars to be able to bring him back, however through lots of networking and research I think I have found the most affordable way to make this a possibility. When we return to the states my goal is to finish writing my book to be able to educate and empower others so that there is greater awareness for how these dynamics happen, how to heal from it, and with the hopes that many can learn from my experience and suffering can be dissolved. My ultimate goal would be to travel around and speak the light and hope for others that healing is possible. Thank you in advanced for your support and love! It is greatly appreciated.
