Meet Yuna. Yuna is a stray cat who is bonded with another cat name Moo that my daughter rescued about a week ago from outside of her building in the Bronx. The plan was to get them vetted through low cost vetting but unfortunately Yuna started showing signs of having bigger health issues as where Moo is ok. We were able to have Yuna seen at a low cost vet where sadly he was diagnosed with a grade 5/6 heart murmur. He is approximately 6 years old. Yuna has an appointment for an echocardiogram on Thursday November 13th to see how his heart looks and to have a better idea of what his future looks like.
On Monday November 10th Yuna unfortunately had to be rushed to the ER as he was having respiratory issues where he was having episodes within an hour. At the ER they suspected he may have asthma. The good news is he did not have any fluid build up and over all his blood work looked good. He spent some time receiving oxygen to stabilize him to go back home.
My daughter saw 2 cats in need and just wanted to help them not expecting that this would become a medical emergency for any of them right away.
I am just trying to help raise funds for Yuna to get the diagnostics needed to stabilize him to where hopefully he can live where his condition can be managed.
Thank you for taking the time to read about Yuna. Any amount is greatly appreciated and sharing Yunas story goes a long way.
