Hi! I’m reaching out to our community with a humble ask during a challenging time for my friend, Quynh.
Quynh recently underwent a major abdominal surgery — a serious procedure that has left her needing significant time to rest and heal. While her recovery is progressing, it is a slow and delicate process, and her doctors have made clear that returning to work too soon is simply not an option.
Here’s where things get complicated: Quynh works as a Contractor based outside the United States. Because of her employment status, she does not qualify for Short-Term Disability benefits or FMLA protections that so many workers rely on in moments like this. There is no safety net. No paycheck. Just the daily reality of needing to rest — and bills that don’t stop.
Any donations received will go directly toward covering her basic living expenses during her recovery, including:
• Rent/housing costs
• Groceries and nutrition to support healing
• Utilities and essential bills
Quynh is one of the most hardworking, resilient people you’ll ever meet. She has spent years helping Soldiers and their families with their transition from the Army, and this surgery was completely unexpected. She would never ask for help unless she truly needed it.
No amount is too small. Even $10, $25, or $50 can make a real difference — and sharing this campaign costs nothing but could change everything.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, generosity, and support. Quynh cannot wait to get back on her feet and pay this love forward.
With gratitude and love ❤️
