My name is Yasmin. I am a 21-year-old girl from Gaza, studying Physics and dreaming of one day becoming a professor and researcher who can help build a better future. My life was once full of hope, but the war has turned everything upside down.
I live in a besieged city, where the sounds of explosions fill the sky, darkness covers our homes, and dreams slip further away with every passing day. The greatest difficulty I face is trying to hold on to my studies and my future while losing the most basic needs of life: safety, shelter, and even the resources that allow me to keep learning.
My suffering did not stop there. My home was destroyed a year and a half ago, and since then I have been displaced, living in a small tent on a main street. The constant noise of cars and heavy traffic makes it almost impossible to study or focus under these harsh conditions.
I need your help to continue on my path, to preserve my education, and to build for myself a chance at a dignified life amid all this destruction. You can be the reason a small dream in the heart of a young woman survives and shines.
And why can’t I wait? Because every day in Gaza carries the risk of loss and tragedy. Because time is not on my side, and my dreams are threatened to vanish along with the ruins around me. My heart is full of determination, but my hands alone are not enough.
I am not asking for the impossible… I am only asking for the chance to live, to continue my studies, and to build a future where war cannot destroy the meaning of life. My story is an urgent plea from a heart that wants to survive… before it’s too late.
