My name is Danette Manther-Tye, aka Sis, Jodi is my beloved sister-in-law; she is married to my brother Glenn. Some of you will remember them from school in Boulder. They dated in high school, took different paths and now find themselves together again and more in love than two teenagers could ever imagine.
Having recently being diagnosed with cancer they are finding out how expensive this horrific illness can be. Jodi was just recently diagnosed yet her medical bills are quickly surpassing $20,000.00 out of pocket costs. As we all know those bills will keep coming and they add up quickly; that doesn't include gas money, travel time and time she can't work. They are currently living in Sarasota, Florida; too far away for most of us to bring food, drive her to appointments, or provide other in person care and support. Since we can't do that perhaps we can at least help support them through social media. If you can donate we'd be eternally grateful. If you can't - please say a prayer, send love and light, whatever you do to help someone feel blessed and surrounded by healing love. Please share this so that others - in Colorado, as well as Columbus and Dallas where they've lived over the years can see it and help us surround them with care. Following her CaringBridge page is terrific and if you could help us take the edge off of their financial burden that'd be the best gift in the world.

Today, I begin a new journey. It’s a journey I never expected or wanted to be on, but, here I am with this road before me. I’ve recently been diagnosed with Cholangiocarcinoma otherwise known as Bile Duct Cancer. After many tests and procedures over the past several weeks, its finally been determined that I should start chemotherapy today. Radiation and surgery will likely happen somewhere down the road.
My family and a few friends are already supporting me on this journey and I am eternally grateful for them. My faith is my strength and I find my hope through my relationship with Jesus. I know that he will carry me through any difficulty I face. I’ve already seen miracles and many answers to prayer. My word for this journey is “Overcomer.” It means to be victorious, to win at life, to accomplish the purpose for which Gad has designed me. I am an Overcomer.
Some of you are already joining me on my journey with prayers and good wishes and I am so thankful for you. Thank you for allowing me to share. I plan to share information on CaringBridge rather than through FB.
