My wife and I are working hard to start a new chapter in our lives. Right now, we’re living with family while both of us are full-time students and searching for work. It’s been a challenging time, and we’re doing everything we can to move forward, but there are basic needs that food stamps just don’t cover. We’re also hoping to start a small business, which could help us become more independent and stable in the long run.

Earlier this year, just before the second day of school, my wife suffered a serious injury—she broke her leg in three places and needed a titanium rod in her tibia along with four screws. She is still in pain and doing physical therapy regularly, which makes school and job searching even harder, especially since she is the only one with a driver’s license. This setback has made our journey even more difficult, but we are determined to keep going. I am a military vet from the 101st Airborne in the US Army, and I am working with the VA to look for work, as well as taking free classes in basic computer skills, welding, and job interview techniques to improve our prospects.

The funds from this fundraiser will go toward essentials like gas for transportation, paying down debt so we can rebuild our credit, and everyday items like toilet paper, shampoo, laundry soap, and dog food for our therapy dog. We also need help fixing our car, which recently broke down, and getting the tools and resources needed to launch our business, including building a website. We’re committed to tithing from anything we receive, as giving back is important to us even during tough times. Any support means the world to us as we work to build a better future. Thank you all in advance for your kindness and generosity. God bless you.
