I am reaching out to the community in hopes that we can get some help. My husband and I have had some bad luck over the last 5 years. It started with him getting COVID and being in the hospital for a week. 3 months later, he got hurt at work and was out for 9 months. A year later, he got an infection in his body that caused another several days of hospital stay. After that, the infection came back about 1-1/2 years later. Last year he had pneumonia and was in the hospital for a week, and last week, someone ran a light and totaled the car. He recently started a new job 3 weeks ago, and after not having a job for a year, was thrilled to land this one. But when he was at the hospital for the accident, they said he had pneumonia and we had no idea! He couldn’t make it to work because his stomach was sick from the antibiotics, so he received a call from his boss saying that they eliminated the brand new position and now he has no job. We have blown through all of our savings due to his being in the hospital so often, as well as being let go several times from jobs. We do not qualify for anymore unemployment. I have a dog we rescued who has severe anxiety, and two cats with diabetes and thyroid issues. They are the loves of my life for the past 15 years. I cannot pay my rent as of right now, and I am asking for some help until the social security kicks in about 2 months from now. My landlord is not very understanding and I am scared to death to lose my pets and my home. We just need a little help, as I do work, but don’t make enough to cover bills and rent. I have never asked for help in my entire life, and I am embarrassed to even ask now. I would be so grateful and appreciative for any help we can receive. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!!
