Since the age of 10, I began to develope my love for real estate. I would build homes out of Legoes and practice my selling techniques with my Lego people. The passion has stuck with me from childhood through adulthood.
After graduating from FCI real estate module, I got my real estate certification. For the past three years, i have develope a limited liability company name Oi'kia Property Holdings. I will strive to provide high qaulity, personalized service to each and everyone I work with.
My enthusiasm for helping others has been another passion for me. I was a certified nurse assistant for over 17 years and have been in customer service all my life. I enjoy fishing, reading, and volunteer at the homeless shelter for over 10 years.
This campaigne is to help the housing crisises and the homelessness in the Inner City of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The present housing inventory of Milwaukee is 417,082 units for a population of 956,406 residents. However, with 21.6% of the residents living under the proverty income level of $24,295, Milwaukee is in serious need of more affordable housing. The median home price is $158,000, with a median income of $43,193. This huge gap in incomes places over half the city out of the ability to buy a home or enjoy descent affordable housing in the city. With approximately 2000+ homeless residents on the city streets, the need is also there for quality transitional housing as well.
The economy is sufferring, as Milwaukee unemployment rate of 6.3%, 21.6% of the residents living on less than $24,000 annually, with a high percentage of both these groups being African American men and other minorities. Although the median income is high at $43,193, many in the economy do not partake of this generosity. Economic stimulus funds for training, certificates, and to drive better income equality across all races is badly needed to boost the economy in the city.
High unemployment, older housing stock, and a high income disparity for workers, drives social tensions and needs in the community. Crime, drugs, and proverty are usually the result of this inner city tension. A diverse, and robust community effort is needed to address a wide array of social ills, and income needs in order to bring hope and wellness to the city's inner residents, training, health care, counseling, crime prevention, and community awareness are all needed to repair the fabric as well as the opportunities for young and old in Milwaukee.
Sincerly,
Dimitris
