I’m reaching out with humility to ask for a little help during an incredibly difficult season of my life.
Since September of last year, I have been relying on Airbnb for housing. From November through the end of June, I was blessed to stay in the same home with a very kind and understanding owner. Unfortunately, his son is currently staying there, so I need to rent another Airbnb beginning this Sunday.
The good news is that I have been told I should be able to return to the home I previously stayed in during the second or third week of September, once his son returns to Florida.
Due to my mental health and the intensive treatments I am currently receiving, I am unable to work at this time. My treatment schedule includes TMS, Spravato, and group therapy, and right now, I need to prioritize my health and recovery. I am grateful that the judge granted me spousal support, but it is not enough to cover the cost of housing and everything else I need during this transition.
Even though I am unable to work right now, I am not sitting at home doing nothing. I am actively preparing myself to return to work and rebuild my future. I am taking classes and am currently at the end of one of my courses, which has helped me learn about different types of crime and strengthen my knowledge for the work I want to do.
My goal is not simply to get through this difficult season. My goal is to heal, rebuild, return to work when I am able, and use what I have learned from my own experiences to help others.
I will be able to secure stable housing im the next two to three months. I am not asking someone to carry me. I am asking for a bridge to help me get there.
This has brought me to the most vulnerable and helpless place I’ve ever experienced. Yet even here, I believe God is using this trial to guide me toward my purpose: to speak out on behalf of those who feel voiceless, to show that it’s okay to ask for help, to be vulnerable, and to lean on others when life becomes too heavy to carry alone.
I’ve fought this battle in silence long enough. Today, I am putting pride aside and saying, Yes, I need help.
If you are able to contribute, no amount is too small. If you cannot donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean just as much to me.
There is still purpose ahead.
