This is Charley.
She's my velcro dog, my constant companion of the past 3 years, and in a life riddled with bad choices, she was easily one of my best.
Me and my brother were never allowed pets growing up and at 32, I got my first actual puppy! It's been a crazy few years and the longest we've been apart is 1 month I was hospitalized. We have built a relationship where we understand each other entirely without talking and match moods.
She has given me purpose in a time in life when I felt I had none and continues to do so every day.
Recently she was playing at the park and another dog tripped over Charley causing torn ligaments in her back leg and she can no longer walk on it....I can't bare the idea of letting an entire leg just "go bad" or atrophy because I can't afford the bill AND VETS DON'T TAKE PAYMENT PLANS. She's only 3 years old. I want to provide the best life for her. I wanna see her run again and do jumping spins in the morning before I feed her breakfast.
This is all happening while i'm in the middle of moving/trying to find a place. The money I'm asking to raise is the vet bill alone. I will NOT ask for help towards my housing. I have a job, this is just a sudden and EXPENSIVE shock, but one that CAN be fixed. I plan to get pet insurance after this!
