On June 26, 2026, our family experienced the unimaginable. Our beloved Omari Kefentsé Jennings tragically passed away following an accident while working.
If you knew Omari, you know this loss doesn't seem real. He was the life of the party, the one who could make everyone laugh until their stomach hurt, the protector of the family, and the first person people called when they needed help. He never hesitated to show up for the people he loved. And if you've got a favorite memory of him, there's a good chance he had a bottle in one hand, a joke ready, and had everyone around him smiling. That was just who he was. He made people feel lighter simply by being himself.
But out of every role he carried, the one he loved most was being "Daddy".
Omari leaves behind his two beautiful children, Irie (9) and Imari (4). They weren't just his children. They were his entire world. Every decision he made, every sacrifice he made, every dream he had was rooted in giving them the best life he could.
Now, they are facing a future without the man they called Daddy, their protector, their hero, their Superman.
As Omari's big sister, I can't take away their pain, and I can't fill the space he'll always occupy in their hearts. But I can & will do everything in my power to help make sure they are supported, loved, and given every opportunity to thrive, just as Omari would have wanted.
