We just found out our phones were turned off due to being $50 short from last month's bill. We now owe $500 total for the phone bill. We also must get an apartment soon or risk losing our services from the homeless shelter we are at. We need an additional $500 for the apartment, plus an additional $150 for application fees to save the apartment that is still available. If we don't come up with this money, then we will be put out on our ear in the cold and windy weather of Wyoming. In losing our services at the homeless shelter, we also lose our Section 8, which is the only way we would be able to afford an apartment in the first place. My mom is working so hard to find a job, but the employers are discriminating against her because she is elderly and not a 20 something looking to get a job to get some extra spending money. I am disabled and getting SSI, but my payee has determined that since I am currently in a homeless shelter, that she doesn't have to give me any money to live off of. She is limiting me to $85 a month with a one-time request of $85. She also is not paying ANY of my phone bill! This has put us in a pickle as we have no access to phones or internet in the shelter due to our cell phones being deactivated. We cannot call or receive messages from our future apartment or employers, but the homeless shelter is putting our feet to the flames, saying that we will not be welcome if we do not get a job and an apartment by the end of the month! Thing is, without money or phones, it is pretty much impossible for us to do the things that they are wanting us to do! While there is a non-profit here that could help us with our deposit, they do not have funds until the federal funds freeze is over, and God knows how long that will be! We are having to crowdfund for money because there is just nothing we can do in order to save enough to pay for everything coming our way!

Would you find it within your heart to donate to us to help us get our phones back up and running and to help us get permanent housing before we are discarded like used toys, having lost their value to the world from being manipulated and played with too much? This is the lowest we have ever been and we are looking for help from our community. Can you help save us from our inevitable fate of having to freeze to death in the bitter Wyoming winter at the end of the month?
