Ryan lives in Vietnam and has no medical insurance. He has been in intensive care for nine days. He is bleeding internally and they found a large tumor in his intestine. His blood level is extremely low and unfortunately Rh negative blood is very rare in Asia. As soon as they can raise his blood level he needs surgery but is required to be able to pay for it first. We don’t know how long he will be in the hospital before surgery.

Ryan talked to the surgeon for the first time today. They will remove half of his colon and his appendix during the surgery. They won’t know if it is malignant until the surgery. He also found out an Australian man came in just before Ryan who is getting the negative blood. Besides needing to raise Ryan’s blood level they will need to have blood on hand for the surgery.
