Hi friends! Brittney Wegener here seeking support for our Phoenix art community. This money will go directly towards buying tools, building out the space, starting markets or pop-ups, and advertising. Thank you in advance for coming along on the journey and investing in our Phx community.
How this got started:
I have been dreaming of a collective space where art and the healing or the body based arts come together. I was 18 and at the time I called it Art in the HeART. Cheeky, yes! We all have our quirks. ;P
How it came back around. . .
After completing my graduate work in sculpture, I found myself asking a question many artists face: Where do I go next? What is sustainable?
Several people told me, start a studio, you'd be good at it!. . . The community spoke and I listened. . . .Knowing that sometimes these things simply fall into our laps. Then I asked myself what is the impact I want to have? What type of "Art" career do I want? I want to make public art and create spaces filled with inspiration and opportunity, where people can be themselves and create the life they want to live. Not surprisingly many other artist wanted the same and have showed interest.
So, that space called "Art in the HeART" came back to me and is asking to be brought to life. However, I have moved away from that name on to another, thankfully, hahaha. What did stay is the focus on Art and Healing. When I reference Art I mean; all forms of self expression, and when I use the word healing I mean anything that gets us centered and grounded. So, that could be massage, reiki, working with our hands on a potter's wheel as a meditative practice, any type of art "therapy". It could be a tarot or an astrology reading. It could be a comedy class or a place where one can come and simply do and possibly find an alternative route to opening up their world a bit and working with their minds, and bodies, and souls or "hearts" ;). To me making Art and working with one's hands or creative spirit leads naturally to self awareness and personal development. Meanwhile working on personal development or discovery of the spirit creates an interest in being creative and wanting to express or create something for the world. I have seen the two things feed into each other again and again and I am deeply devoted to housing a community for this type of pollination to happen.
Happy to Introduce the new name and breathing life into the dream:
B.O.L.D. Collective: A space where we bridge artists to each other, to space, and to the larger community.
How artists continue making meaningful work, while supporting one another, and contributing to the communities we live in once school ends, (or never happened for them) is always the biggest adventure in our purpose/career. The collective is that adventure for me and I want to do it with a community of like minded people, inspiring and opening doors for the community at large.
B.O.L.D. Collective Does this by expanding access to creative space, shared resources, and public programming.
I am creating this shared art studio in the Phoenix area for myself and several other dedicated artists. Our goal is simple: to create a sustainable space where artists can keep working, share resources, and build meaningful connections with the community around us. Over time, we hope this space can grow into a hub for experiential arts of all kinds, "art showings" collaborative events and markets, creative workshops, and gatherings that bring people together through art, conversation, and shared curiosity.

Our long-term vision is to continue expanding the ways art can bring people together. We believe art speaks powerfully through shared learning, experiential installations, creative gatherings, and interdisciplinary events that explore creativity, reflection, and personal growth. But first, we have to build the foundation, before it becomes a hub of creativity. Some of the ways we see doing that is through, affordable studios, a sculpture garden, galleries, workshops that teach the community how to make or design things. Have Markets filled with Art, Music, Food and more.
If you believe artists help shape vibrant communities…
If you believe creative spaces matter…
If you believe Phoenix deserves more places where the Arts and people can meet naturally…
We invite you to support B.O.L.D. Collective.
Together, we can help artists keep creating and communities can keep connecting.
Every bit of support helps move this vision forward.
Thank you for helping turn this vision into a space where creativity, community, and possibility can take root. We look forward to shading you as our branches grow. 😉
