When I was diagnosed with breast cancer, my world turned upside down. As a single mom, every day is a balancing act. Between the appointments, treatments, and trying to maintain some sense of normalcy for my child, the stress feels overwhelming. Living in Poplar Bluff, I rely heavily on transportation to get to the hospital, which is a pretty hefty drive from home. Each trip stretches my resources thinner and thinner. Every moment I don’t spend worrying about next month’s rent or the pile of medical bills is a moment I can focus on healing and being there for my child. Despite the fear and uncertainty, there’s hope in knowing we’re part of a caring community. Your support lifts a bit of the weight, allowing me to face this battle with a little more strength and a lot more hope.
