UPDATE May 25, The embassy has mistakingly sent the visa info to Germany rather than Switzerland where Yana and Wva are currently waiting, so the trek has to be made to Germany in next few weeks and money for living accommodations is still needed. Thank you!!

Update March 23, Angelo is home but will go back soon to Warsaw Poland to meet with Polish American Embassy for Yana and Eva to get Visas. When Ukraine Embassy was closed Angelo and Yana lost a lot of money that they paid towards trying to get her and her daughter over here, and now have to come up with much more money for Visas, hotels, travel etc. Sadly World news is showing that Poland may be in Putins crosshairs next. Update 2, March 3, not good. The Embassy in Lviv is not open. They got bad info. They can’t take a train or a bus now so they are trying to get a taxi. They would ride six hours and then walk the rest of the way. There are many sirens and they have had to go underground multiple times.
Update 1, they have made it to an embassy in Ukraine where they will try and apply for refugee status for Yana and her 8 year old daughter. And then hopefully the journey begins again to Poland.
Hi, Our friend Angelo Rush was in Kharkiv Ukraine with his girlfriend Yana and her daughter when the war started. They have been trying to get to safety. Yesterday by train they traveled across the country, going through Kiev, and will hopefully reach an embassy in Ukraine today. After that stop they will try to make it to Poland and to a refugee camp until they can make it home. They are in need of not only prayers during this harrowing journey but also some money, as they are quickly burning through what they have. I will try an update on here as I get info. Thank you!

Update March 3, bad news. Embassy is closed. They got bad info. They can't take a train or bus and are 6 hours from Poland, so will try and get a cab. Sirens going off and they have had to go underground many times. Keep up the prayers . He said he can't update us until they reach Poland. Very scary time for them
